The AHVXIIXV (Part II.II) - The Dinner Reception

Time check: 0500

Guess who's not asleep at this hour? It's been a long time since we last stayed up this late. I bet our body clock adjusting to our "usual" sleeping time. Since my dearest Husband is watching football in the room right now(of which I definitely cannot sleep cos' imma light-sleeper), might as well make full use of this time to blog yeah?

So here's the final of all final post for the wedding saga as promised. I wish to blog about my honeymoon but then again, I doubt my blogging mojo will sustain until I feel like blogging something. Until then, here's what Part II.II of our wedding.

05 December 2015

The Dinner Reception:
Time was 1430 and we were still in the car, on our way to Crowne Plaza Hotel. Quite a few asked me why I chose that particular hotel since my solemnisation is at Sentosa. Well, basically that place holds a lot of sentimental moments/meaning. The very first time my Husband and I had our first staycay and even up till now, Crowne Plaza has always been our favourite place!

We were supposed to start getting ready at 1430 though but obviously we were late. You have no idea how pissed I was at my husband(HAHAHA kesian dia!) then again, I had to brush away those negativity!

Upon reaching, apologised to Kak Raz umpteen times for being late and straight away checked-in. You have no idea how rushing it was. I had to wash away my previous make up and start on a fresh face again!

Bubs even managed to wash up for the third time for the day, how unfair was that? My girls had to rush too as they'll be heading to Lagun Sari way earlier before me.

In the midst of getting ready, one of my colleague gave a call to inform me that she wasn't able to attend my reception and that she needed to come and visit me for awhile, while I'm getting ready. So sweet of her right?

Once Kak Raz was done with the make up, I had to put on the first outfit which was the peach/nude modern contemporary peplum songket! Was informed by her that she followed her guts to further tightened my outfit and hoped that I could squeeze myself in it(She macam tau gitu I went on a wedding diet!hehe) So I put on the corset then the Top, thankfully it hugs perfectly from the very first session!

We proceeded on with my hair! I love love love the overall outlook! Look so elegant gitu~

While waiting for Bubs to get ready, I sempat selfie of course!

Time check: 1745

We're finally done and making our way down to the lobby. Met up with our photographer and had a quick photo-taking session with the wedding car.
We then proceed our way to Lagun Sari.

We were pretty early though. Event started at 1800 and Guess who came on time? Our official walk-in is at about 1815/1830!

We took our time and went up to the changing room to "kill" time. Did we mentioned that our reception was super lepak-nak-mampos?

Hehe.

Well, like I said previous post we clearly have no intentions of any sanding/hadang if we had to do a reception. Bubs had warned me earlier that he is totally against all these "gantry" which is quite commonly seen in Malay weddings. I had to respect his decision to make it fair for both him and our parents. So, our reception has to be simple yet lovely which in fact, it did went well.

Both our parents agreed to having a combined wedding of 500pax, of which we definitely think they have over-exceeded a little(or maybe alot? We were Super amazed by the crowd!).

At 1825, we had our first walk-in. I felt Super awkward and nervous as all eyes were on us at first. Kak Raz told us the "what-to-do(s)" on pelamin.

(And nope again, this is not a video. Just a snapshot of a video. hehe)

It really felt intensely awkward that we had to inform our photographer to keep us "busy" for the next 3 hours! Hehe

Let's just get dem' pictures to do the talking la yerh? I'm just gonna post whatever that people have send me though. So mind if it's inadequate. hehe

You clearly have no idea how tired I was from just 15 minutes of smiling for the camera!

My girls!

My family and in laws!

At about 1930, we made our way out for the second outfit. We were that of a lepak bride and groom that we told Kak Raz to take her own sweet time to get us ready.

Initial time for second walk-in was at 2030 but we went down like 15 minutes after that? Even our parents were asking for us.

The number of guest present at the moment was overwhelming! So weird how I was at ease as we entered for the second time.

With the silky ladies! Each and every one of your presence means alot to me on my humble wedding!

My family! Dont know why Bubs had to close his eyes. -_-

So formal for what right? I look awfully weird here. But like father like daughter right? hahahahah Anak bapak kata kan.

One with the paternal side!

With the CPG boys and + 1

With #yaniepul and their honeymoon cheeky baby,Ahmad Aydin Ilman!(Yes, he staring at my boobs haha!)

So, it was another round of photoshoot. This time round, it was one after another for about 30minutes. Kak Raz had to be our time-keeper cos' she had to inform the Abang who gets our table ready.

with Ahsteph! The only batchy who took the liberty and hassle to request for an overnight just to make it for my wedding. Sweet la this girl!

Finally we had a break and have our probably "first" proper meal for the day as Husband and Wife.

Once done, we had a cake-cutting ceremony done and photo-taking. At about 2120, we did a walk-about. Bubs introduced me to his cousins and vice versa. We agreed to leave right after.

Lepak gila Kan?
That's how we roll'.

Went up to the changing room and changed right away. At about 2220, we went down to send off Kak Raz and we head back to the function room to meet up with our families.

What's more lepak is that, mana mau dapat bride and groom balik naik taxi?

HAHAHA, oh yes we did.
Together with our girls of course, back to the hotel. Even better, we're not even close to ashamed about it.

Well, initially Bubs was supposed to get us a transport to pick us up from Lagun Sari right after Roger's but it was too last minute and getting a cab was the best bet after a long tiring day.

The girls chilled for awhile then they left. We kinda parted ways emotionally, literally cried. I really cannot thanked the girls enough for making my special day the bestest, really could not have done it without them.

FINALLY MARRIED, ALHAMDULILAH!

So that was about it.
And nope, there wasn't a "first" night. Both of us were too tired to even lift a finger. Haha okay what the heck but yeah.

Woke up next morning feeling a little different. Like married kind of different.
Back when we both were engaged, we kind of living the life of almost-cohabitation. I thought being married would not even changed anything but I was wrong. I felt completely different. Might blog separately regarding The Married Life someday.

So where was I? Oh yeah, we then checked out and cabbed back to Yishun. Was welcomed by Bubs Aunties and Uncles who slept over at his place, at his hallway.

It was super weird when Chulo told us to rest in OUR room. HAHHAHA. Okay, just weird. Well, we took awhile to settle down. Our room was in a huge mess and the luggage needed to be unpacked and repacked. Oh boy, what a busy day.

Ran a little errands, back to Tampines again and Chulo send us off to the airport for our honeymoon!

That's all folks!
Thank you for those who has been keeping up in my blog post and not forgetting my avid readers! I'll blogged soon on my upcoming shopping retreat aka birthday trip to BKK! We really need this retail therapy "getaway".
