Okay, I'm done.
So where was I? Ahh, yes. The Wedding.
Before I touch on anything, gonna do an overall reflection.
The reflection: Time is of Essence. Whatever you may have planned may not go according to your way. Omit whatever littlest stuff, you'll eventually forget that it even existed. For whatever that may arise in the situation that may or may not be beyond your control, take a breather and just follow the flow. The day will end before you know it. All you need to do is breathe, smile and enjoy every single moment of it because there won't be a second attempt.
~
We took about close 6 months of pure dedication to the wedding of which includes ZERO Travelling( Only God knows how tough it was for us) and ZERO ANNUAL LEAVE( With a job scope like us, you'll probably need like vacation once every 2-3 months for sanity sake. HAHA)
I was literally living life like a fish trying to survive on mainland. That includes time and financially. Was pretty much thankful that major deposits were done before the 6 months but it seemed as though the minorities were the killer in your pocket.
Here's an overview our expectation and reality for our wedding.
The expectation: Ahmad Hilmy(aka The Hubs) and I have already agreed from the time we got engaged that we wanted something small, intimate and different since we had a relatively huge Engagement ceremony of less than 100pax.
The plan was to completely omit the sanding/dinner reception due to preference sake(well, his preference lah cos' I okay-go kind). So we planned to just focus on the solemnisation event instead and ideally we chose to have a yacht wedding.
The reality: Getting our parents to agree to our decision was a tough one. We eventually gave in to our parents because it's not "nice" to not invite relatives to your wedding thus, we agreed to our father's request to do a reception.
Initial plan was to have a separate event however, it'll be rushing on us for the second day cos' we're flying off on the same day probably 2 hours after the event. Bummer. With this, I forfeited the $500 (HEARTPAIN) deposit for Desa Kartika which was supposed to be for my side's event and we eventually agreed to a combined wedding at Lagun Sari instead.
Why Lagun Sari? God knows. We're a fuss-free bride and groom who loves everything all-inclusive because we simply do not have the time to reece the best-est of everything. Hehe~

The solemnisation:
I never expected that I would have least amount of sleep for my big day! The plan was to sleep by 10pm since we gotta be up by 6am but girls will be girls la kanz?
I had so many things at the back of my mind that I needed to do before my MUA comes. Pretty much gave up ironing my panjang nak-mampos cathedral veil( Ya'know with beauty comes pain. That was definitely a pain in the ass trying to straightened out the crease with the almost completely useless iron that the hotel provided us, okay lah cannot complain better than nothing).
I was still at it, almost gave up but I had to shower instead because time was running out. My MUA has already made her way to our hotel. I tried to calm myself a little but still have yet to feel that jitters on that day.
She reached at about 7am and started as soon as possible. My poor girls had to help me with my veil. Initial plan was to wear the veil I got myself tailored by Kak Fanurly however, a red stained was found from God knows where thus I was quite thankful that I had a back up veil which I bought together with my Nikah Dress.
The MUA:
I knew I had to get freelance MUA for my Nikah. I was dead-set in getting my "dream" dress of my preference thus I needed someone reliable to do up my make up. Known as Tity Stella by Stella Anggun previously, I engaged her service for my engagement for the first time. I was pleased with her artistry thus I chose her again. The whole wedding was to have familiar people Im comfortable with thus she was definitely my choice.
An hour later or so, my photographer, Afiq from the former Myperspectiv(now, ChasingVows) came.
The Photographer:
So weird how the world works. I found his starter company from Instagram and enquired his service. The plan was to hire a slightly low-profile photographer. Little did I know while browsing through his works, it made me realised that I knew this guy. Yes, Afiq was my secondary school classmate for 4 years. How small of a world is that? I would admit he was a douchebag back then(Hahah sorry dude but it was the truth). So it's great that I at least can rest assure I'm in good hands when it comes to awkward moments and poses etc.
So it took me about 2 hours to get fully ready. Boy, life really push me at my limit while I was getting ready. I had to bicker with my future(Now Husband) Husband in the midst of getting ready. Well, there were a little hiccups but was resolved as soon as possible. No one calls the bride when she's getting ready okay, it's just an unspoken rule of which my Husband clearly don't give a shit but he's forgiven(I forgive you baby. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA)
My dearest girls had to go down as soon as possible to get the yacht decorations ready while I was still at the room.
Time check: 9.30am
Love dem' keyhole back! Will blog about my dresses soon!!!
Guess who's still in the room when her nikah is at 10am?
I was thankful that it didn't rained however it was scorching bright and hot, even at 9am!! My MOH had to call me and inform that my Dad said I shouldn't hold the Nikah at the forward head of the yacht since it's Super hot thus, she got my consent to just do it at the upper deck which had a shelter and seating.
When it was time for me to go down, I gave my Captain, Deen, a call.
The Captain:
2 weeks before the wedding, Deen called to inform me that he'll be the captain for the day. I was Super psyched! I mean it was great, really. To have people you know and whom you're close to witness your Union. Well, Deen and my Sister has a history before that was how we met and all of us became close. He was like family back then. I thought that it'll be abut awkward for my Sister but nope, it was perfectly fine.
So Deen informed me that one of his staff will bring down my bouquet before the buggy came. Had a little photoshoot at the lobby and off we go to the yacht. Stumbled upon my Groom while on the way to the berth, he looks so fine. I mean it's really tough to get him to wear Malay traditional outfit. *grins*

Reached the yacht, salam-ed everyone there and we're off to the upper deck. FBIL and my groom fetched the Kadi from the carpark, I presumed. As I looked down from the upper deck, I saw my girls doing up the deco. I'm blessed. With so much effort and working under the sun. I'm fortunate! I love you girls.
Kadi Suhaimi came exactly at the time we were supposed to get solemnized. Had a little formalisation with all the documents and such.
I was informed by my BM that Kadi Suhaimi's style of solemnisation was known to be the non-lengthy chop2 no fuss way(which was definitely in my favour of course!) and indeed, it was true. In less than 15 minutes I was declared someone's Wife.
You clearly have no idea when I started bursting into tears. The moment I saw Kadi Suhaimi, Abah, My hubs, Chulo and my FBILs seated down and Abah had his formalities done, Emotions engulfed the whole of my body. Could clearly recalled that feeling. It was like "This is it. My Father is giving me away. I'm getting married"
Throughout the entire solemn process, I was trying my best to control my tears(obviously a failure la kan) and my ter-esak2-ing sets the mood throughout the entire deck. Everyone felt my sadness, everyone felt my emotion even my groom. It was obvious that he tried his best to control his tears and kept looking away to brush off the feeling. He even admitted to almost crying when he heard my esak2.

As Abah recites his sentence, I was breathing heavily and crying. It was a relieved that in one breath, Bubs said his sentence successfully.
(Warning: This is not a video okay. Just a snapshot. )
"Aku terima nikahnya Noraisah Binte Saini dengan maskahwin sebungkal emas."
Kadi Suhaimi got acknowledgement from my FBILs and they went "Sah."
Everyone on the deck was "Alhamduilah".

Everything happened all too fast, I thanked my first Sister for recording the entire Nikah. And nope, we didn't get a videographer. It's a feeling that even till I get old, it's a story that I'll never get bored telling my future kids how their dad almost cried when their parents were about to get married. The feeling is just so surreal. Even up till now, I can still cry reminiscing the moment.
It was a quick process. Kadi Suhaimi went off right after. Had the ring exchange with hubs and a lot of photo taking.
Little did I know the yacht was already cruising off.
Deen brought us over to St John's/Lazarus island. Buffet spread for my guest was amazing, I knew I can count on Catering Culture since my guests commented that the food was great during our engagement ceremony but sadly we didn't have time to eat.

Sempat lorh selfie!
When hubs and I finally had our alone time at the deck, we managed to catch-up with each other. Hahah(Macam kawan2 gitu Kan since we didn't meet during our pantang days). Everything fell into place slowly. The plan was for hubs to change into his suit but Chulo forgot to bring it out from the car. Hubs had to make do with his nikah outfit, still good enough though.
My flower girls!
Once we were done, we cruised along Singapore coastline. We had a ballin' good time! We made our way to Sentosa cove at about 1.30pm.
Decked and off my guests went home for the second part of the day later in the evening. Hubs wanted to wash up and changed while we waited for the buggy. There were so much food wastage that I told Deen to invite his work friends to come and feast.
When the buggy finally came, we made our way to the carpark where Roger and our wedding car were at! Collected my leftover items at the reception and we drove off to Crowne Plaza Hotel Changi Airport.
Did we mentioned that we were late?
We were totally behind time, it was pouring and my dear Kak Raz, MUA from Chantique had to wait for us.
