Japan Birthday Trip

I'm contented lah please! What not? To be able to strike off part of my wishlist! I was telling Bubs that I badly wanna see, play with snow. We were still deciding whether it was a good idea to travel(since it's already the 2015 and we're getting married and yada2 with all the finance) and finally booked everything within less than 2 days. Crazy or what!

My birthday week has been great though. I get to spend most of my quality time with bubs.

We went for the 2-days marriage course (yes, on my birthday! No choice. Rather do it now than later) with Suchi-Success. The preparatory course was very informative just a little too draggy though but Alhamdulilah we've finally got our certs. It was certainly weird though being in the same class as bubs. hehe

I cannot wait to embark a new phase of life with you.

So the night of my birthday, Bubs bought me swensens cake and pizza (since we've already got plans after the kursus, go decent and budget je lor)

Love you bby! Thank you for trying to give me the best.

Final candle-blowing moment as a single lady! In Shaa Allah.

So right after the last day of the kursus, rushed home and packed my bag. Trust me, I can never pack my luggage prehend unless.. It's a long trip.

Checked-in at night and off we scoot to Japan. Initial plan to see snow was to Korea but since a lot of people on my IG went to korea for snow, I decide to give it a pass and Bubs said "Let's go Japan".
I wasn't all excited about it because I've been there once and trust me, there's a lot more to see especially if the country is H U G E.

Reached Narita Airport, took the bus to Tokyo then train-ed to Mejiro. Our host wasn't able to meet us, thus entrusting us the keylock to the accomodation. Sweet!

Once we settled in, the rest of the day was at our leisure. Our itinerary was simple. We train-ed to Shinjuku to see all those cute cats at Calico Cafe!

I nak bawak u balik Singapore, U nak tak? hehe

This munchkin is too fast despite its short legs!!!

Right after the visit, we simply just walked around Shinjuku, soaking the town's atmosphere. It was already evening and the temperature doesn't help at all. It was freezing at about 3degrees and I am so weak when it comes to winter season.

Grabbed dinner and takeouts for supper, too tired we went straight to the apartment after hours of walking.

Day 2: Enroute to Gala Yuzawa, North of Tokyo.

This is where the adventure begins. I love bubs because as I mentioned before, he's my walking GPS. He loves navigating around and I suck at maps and Train tracks( If you know Japan, they have alot of diversing tracks!)

Took the Shinkansen train(aka bullet train) to direct Gala Yuzawa! We had a stopover but I couldn't remember the place. Hopped on another train and the whole journey took about 1.5hours max.

Upon reaching, thank God most of the people knows how to speak English. We bought the two-way Gondola(Cable car in SG terms) trip to the ski resort.

I was amazed at first sight of snow! Literally jumped like a little girl. It was mesmerizing, just like a dream come true!
The cable -car trip was pretty scary but amazing! Literally going uphill and sinking in the atmosphere around , not forgetting the -3 degrees cold!

SO MAGICAL!

We did a few of activities there like sledding and others, like building a snowman!!

My cute 3-tiered snowman!! Bubs made his as well. We spend hours there!
The snow there was clean, white and fluffy!!!! Literally sank cm deep when I was about to snow-angel!

We took loads of videos. It wasnt easy to take pictures with your barehands because the gloves were too thick and it was freezing cold!!

Crepes!

Left the place after being there for hours. Alhamdulilah, it was definitely an amazing experience that money can't buy.

So we train-ed back to Tokyo. Decided not to go home after that since our time was limited, we head for dinner at Tokyo station!

Hot soba with tempura! Honestly food wise, it's tough to survive in Japan. Their "staple" choice of meat is pork. So we basically asked first every single time we're about to order, oh not forgetting it's tough to get English menu.

The evening was still to early for us to head back. Was telling bubs that we should visit Shibuya again and so we did.

Walked around aimlessly for 2hrs, did a little shopping and went home after that. Pretty much sums up the whole of day 2.

Day 3: Gotemba Premium Outlet and Mount Fuji!

Woke up early to catch the 8.40am bus at Tokyo Station to Gotemba. The journey toom about 1.5hours and we literally slept throughout the journey( well, most of it?)

Spent from 10-5pm shopping in Gotemba. Bubs was expecting us to do alot of shopping but trust me, it felt like Shishui Premium outlet, nothing much though. Sales wasn't interesting but we bought a few things as well. Pretty much paid for the transport and view. The place is HUGE with a brilliant view of Fuji-san!

We took lots of pictures but of course, I choose not to upload, too many!!

At 5pm, the bus departed from Gotemba, back to Tokyo. Journey back took about 2hrs plus instead due to heavy traffic, what's new? Peak period.

Mi laaaaav!

Bubs was too hungry, we had dinner at Tokyo station again. Donburi and cold soba for me!

Since we're required to wake up early tomorrow morning to catch our early flight home, we went back to Mejiro. Did a little grocery shopping before heading back. At that point of time, I wasn't ready to go home, really.

Day 4: Home, home on the range.

It was the day, we kinda dread. Journey back to Singapore. At the airport, bubs granted my last birthday request; buy me flowers.

And so, we walked around.. found a florist. There wasn't any peonies but I told him a stalk of rose would do good.

Then we scoot back to Singapore. :(
It was a decent yet amazing experience!
I love Japan, Thank you for the hospitality. But I love my bby more. Thank you for spoiling me every time.

xoxo.
