My Beauty Secrets, well sorta.

The face is our daily canvas. Everyone wants to have that crystal-clear baby skin, no? My skin is nowhere near perfect but am going to reveal some of my beauty tips! The key to having beautiful skin is really no secret at all. Yes, there's a wide range of facial products available on the market and "So you're saying you use none?"

Corrections.
Not none but limited. Working in my industry, make-up is a must. In a way, my face suffers almost every single day. Every woman who wears make-up or a beauty freak for sure have their essentials; The make-up remover, The Toner, The Moisturizer and The facial Cleanser, The facial Scrub and whatever whatnots.

Trust me, I have em' too. No doubt.
Make-up beautify the outlook and yes of course, boosting our self-esteem and confidence. So what happens when you remove your make up? Do you hide yourself at home or behind those shades when you're out? Quick scroll on your Instagram, does most of your selfie(s)'s with make-up or none? Does that answer to your question whether you're make-up dependant? Oh sure it does. Don't judge too quick, slow down and read on.

Make-up products are like god-sent. But being too dependant on one will somehow ruin you in the long-run, is it worth looking like a 45year old when you're only 28? Oh hell no. Make-up does increase aging like it or not. Over the years, the elasticity of the skin will never be the same. There are so many factors contributing to aging and the usage of make-up, is one of them.

I'm not here to bark on the negativity of wearing makeup. I love them and they're a magnificent creation in enhancing our features! But how can one's beauty be judge by their outlook and probably 4 out 5 women are heavily dependant on make-up to make them look great?

I love my face and will continue hoping to look the same even when I'm a mother of four. So finally, here are my beauty tips (Note: May not be suitable for you but sure does for me!)

1) Off-days are like my skin's mini "Get-away". For every 2-3 flights, we're entitled to a day off. So why not use this day to let the skin breathe? I'm sure some of my lovely colleagues are doing the same. As much as your mind needs a "De-Stress", your skin needs it too. Don't be afraid to cut-back on those make-up during your off-day. Make-up products impedes the skin from getting oxygen, which I feel they're responsible for making your skin looks dull. So let em' breathe, let em' breathe!

2) I reduced my usage of facial products. Ironic much? Yes, the truth. The only time I use it is when I feel my skin needs it. "What facial products do you mean?" From the facial masks, to skin essence. Daily cleansing is very important especially when I'm with my make-up on. On a regular off-day, where I've got zero make up on, the only time I facial cleanse is when I'm having shower at night, ready to sleep!

3) Whenever I have make-up on, you'll rarely see me touching up. Reason being? I feel like I'm mounting on more bacteria on my face. That includes on flight, working. You have no idea what pathogens you're exposed to on air. Ever questioned how frequent does the company clean the interior of the aircraft, every corner of it? Probably never.  The only thing worth touching up is the lipstick, whenever I'm done eating or drinking. That is the reason for your "Why your make-up so thick when you go to work?" I can still achieve the same look even when I'm done with a pretty long-hectic flight. Beat that. hehe

4) My skin feels almost flawless when I have adequate rest. I swear! I could see difference if I don't sleep.(Bibs can see the difference!) Not only does it affects my ever-so-dark circles, it sure does on my skin too. Small biji-biji (I really don't know what the hell are those called) will appear and hate it when I put make up over them. It's like really trying to cover up acne. On days you see them on my face you should just question "Not enough sleep yesterday?"  Well, I'm still trying to work on those enough sleep daily but a "4-hour" sleep is better than none right? hehe.

5) FOOD. Your choice of food is important! Please eh, as much as my mum claimed that I eat a lot of salad, she must be joking. I'm not a fully-pledge kambing yet. But I will always try my very best to make very good choices on my food! Try eating healthy okay? Your skin will thank you. On another note, can someone please tell me to abolish junkies in my diet? Ergh.

6) GREEN TEA ftw. Like it or not, you may barge on this point but I feel the difference in drinking green tea everyday. My skin got fairer(as compared to last time!), I have no idea what's the science behind it but it's just a miracle. I feel glowy without my make up on! And please hor, I have been a green tea addict since forever(like 5 years or more maybe)!

So are you ready to look like this beyond those make up?

*I still think she has minimal make up somehow.

Ready to show the world, the Real you?
xoxo.
