Wedding Updates: Oh so much to update!

Been close to three weeks since I last updated! Ohmaigosh. So I'm going to try my best squeezing in some details.

The wedding card is finally here! Tdragoncards really expedite our orders. We were told that we'd received the cards by 24th october but ours was completed by the 21st instead. Bubs and I head down to Peninsula Plaza to collect our cards! We only managed to only break our back tying dem' 250 cards a few days later due to work but it was definitely worth it. Since our dinner reception is going to be intimate and simple, the card template we chose had a hint of classy yet simple as well. Gold is loved!

Another thing that I'm pretty impressed are dem' badges! These was definitely not in my budget but they were too pretty to say no to! Gotta love dem' wreath and floral designs. Chanced upon not a candy store at Carousell and I must say, service was excellent and fast delivery! They have customized designs as well! Got my 10 badges at about $17(plus mail). Cheap deal!

Well, as you can see from dem' badges, we're not keeping our hashtag a secret anymore. Follow our hashtag for wedding updates!

As much as I have a wedding planner for our event, I still feel that I needed to make my journey to the mrs worthwhile. Nothing beats DIY-ing every single chance I have! That includes buying decorative items from Daiso and dragging Bubs, hustling and bustling the Friday Immigration Borders to JB. Getting him to say yes to follow me to JB took a whole lot of effort but thank God, it was an experience. Bottomline is, never go JB take bus on Fridays and weekends. hehe

Did I mentioned that I'd try DIY as much as I can? Here's my almost complete bouquet for my second walk-in. Really fell in love with pageant/cascading bouquet and to get someone to do it for you cost about close to $200. Mine practically cost me less than $20. Or maybe $10(since SG currency now slightly stronger in Malaysia!)

I'm glad I managed DIY some stuffs for the wedding. The last thing that I'm gonna do it myself is my wedding cake. Call me crazy(definitely carik pasal), sisters and mom definitely disagreed to this but anything to save cost, ya'know? When you have the skills, why not do it yourself right? Hoping that I'm able to stick to that $200 budget though hehe.

Recently on the 26th of October, Bubs and I went for our first outfit selection.
Our initial plan was to pick dark royal colours like deep red, purple or maybe emerald green. Unfortunately our bridal doesn't really have what we're looking for except the green. Emerald green looks stunning but I've pretty much seen this same outfit on most of the people in IG.

A little setback when choosing a popular bridal is that everyone wears what looks stunning and it'll be a repetition somehow and I'm not a fan of repetition, well, maybe not on my wedding day la yer
Suddenly, bubs agreed to what caught my eyes for our first outfit which was a  contemporary songket. Madly in love with it, definitely was our favourite.

(Bubs sneaky-ly took a photo of this! Or was he?) HAHAH

I knew I wanted to wear white for my gown. At first I was down to the final two(and one of them is in the picture) however, I chose the other one instead due to practicality(realization of how I'd look like) and fitting in overall theme. Bubs had a tough time convincing me that I've made the right choice but as days passed, I was kind stressed of my decision. Almost wanted to call our bridal back cos' of my fickle-mindedness but I gave it a thought again and leave it to faith. Gonna bring my bridesmaid and MOH on the 16th Nov for our fitting session, hoping they'll agree with Bubs.
I wanted something elegant, strap-less. A little something like this

But this is Singapore malay bridal we're talking about. Unless I secure to rent dem' thousand dollar wedding dress for a 4hour wear, it's a little ridiculous. Anyways, lawakan?! Gorgeous nak mampos. I'm dying to have the same look as her. That voluminous wave/ big curls and side headpiece sigh. Make me look and feel like a bride please!

Well, that's basically it.

I love how enthusiastic he is to get this day over and done with. So much preparation with a limited amount time. Can't wait to get this phase done too. Happy 2nd last engagement sary my love. Missing you a little more everytime you're overseas!

Till the next update. I hope to keep this vibe alive till our wedding day. Can we skip the pantang days?

xoxo
