Since my lunch reception is going to be a small event, my number of bridesmaid is obviously little as well. Even if my event's going to have an invitation of 1000pax, I doubt I'd want to have 6-10BMs. Sumpah it's redundant. Let's not talk about additional cost to the wedding.
So initially bubs was telling me having bridesmaid is ridiculous and not to have any but my decision to have a few is due to these reasons:
1) I need people that I can trust to run my "event" on that day while I'm like almost helpless. Like coordinators, of which I will delegate their workload fairly.
2) Share my joyous preparation towards the wedding. Yes, it's the 365th countdown already. I'm excited and I need people of similar taste as mine. Not forgetting how these people needs to be brutally honest with me on all the future decision-making.
So there you have it. Alhamdulilah that the previous 365days was put into good use;
1) Book our Andaman
2) Book our Solemnization Venue
3) Book my lunch reception + Bubs dinner recep venue
4) Securing my freelance MUA for my nikah
5) Enquired on quotations for berkat(favours) + Henna
6) Tons of research eg. Solemnization theme, outfits, honeymoon etc.
7) Book our upcoming marriage preparatory course with Suchi Success!
So glad that bulk of it is already done for someone busy like me, how did I managed to have completed such task. Well, some said it's still too early but major events in life like this, I'm not those last-minute bo-chap BTB hor. Na-ah
Back to the topic. So 4days back, I decided to propose to 2 of my BMs. The reason why I chose them:
1) My wanderlust girls- No kidding, we love travelling. Not forgetting being broke almost after every trip. Oh what's new?
2) Very open-minded, I shall not elaborate on that.
3)We hangout alot, try finding time to meet up over dinner/supper/lunch for a good catchup which can go on for hours!
4) Very comfortable for me to communicate with them and communicate is key to success, no?
5) They're my favourite east colleagues. Yes, my lovable batchies who have known me for 2.7years!
And so, since it's a favour that I need them to stick my by for the next 365days, I feel the need to make them feel special and important with regards to my preparations. A little surprise for them!
Littlest effort goes a long way, I hope! Do stay tuned for my MOH proposal. Yes, she's someone important in my life. I know that I can count on her despite us being busy with our respective lives. I'm sure you'll know who.
