When I was on hiatus, there wasn't any changes except..

...We are a MONTH away from the 365 days mark. Yes, a month! Time flies, baby. Could vividly remember, I started a countdown at 600+ days and now, it's close to half!? I'm starting to feel 20% jitters, flushing into my system already! My oh my.

Though I've wished you before but gonna wish you here on my blog, again.
Happy 11th Engagement-sary, Bubs! Still the bestest I've ever had, up till date. Never fail to make me the happiest girl, near or far. ❤️

Throughout this 11 months of semi-knot, I've seen you change into a much more better person, which is great. This bond I'm feeling between us, somehow got stronger than before. Like they always say " We can't have rainbow without a little rain"

Well I'm glad that I'm going through this with you, baby. Thou shall save all those long-windedness wish for some other time.

.........

Nothing much have change in my life. Been spending good quality time with bubs every single time he's in Singapore. Not even a day missed without seeing his face, like literally. We pretty much look forward to spending the night with each other. Who doesn't like getting cosy with your love one, no? We're becoming super-clingy to each other that whenever he's away, I couldn't deal with the emptiness, without him being physically next to me. Bub's presence really meant alot to me. Who's willing to miss work just to be physically close to someone you love? That should be me. Work hasn't been great thus far for me, kinda lost the motivation to earn; substantial is survival, never greed. Money doesn't motivate me now, somehow. All I wanna do is just cuddle up with him and let days passed but this shouldn't be thr way of course. I'll pick up the pace soon enough, once I'm done with 2014.

In the meantime, we're so looking forward for Maldives which is less than 8 days time! Yes, of all places I'm bringing him for his birthday. We're typically not the beach-kind of people. Both hates the sun, the heat and whatnot but having only 4 days 3 nights, who are we to bargain right? Going to Europe again would'nt be practical besides, we roughly have a feel of what it's like to be on a honeymoon destination in advance. heh. So we could make amendments to our destination if we don't like the beach-life for our real honeymoon. Can't wait!

So the other day, I was telling bubs that my birthday wish next year is to witness snow and that I'd love to visit Korea. Initial plan was to go on a quick 4d3n with sissy but my dear boy said " You only travel with me and only me" and little did I know he already applied for leave on my birthday week in conjunction with the marriage course that we're going soon!
AHHHH! So hoping for it but then again, it'll all depends on the our finances of course. Gonna keep this convo as an evidence. heheheh

Owww yes, babe cannot run away already. Print-screened! Anways, not even putting very high hopes on this trip. Wedding finances sure taking its toll on us. Cannot hooray-hooray too much already, this travelling should be put on hold. Speaking of wedding updates, yes we're going for our marriage course soon! Not sure to be excited or not but sure as hell he's not. Bubs suggested we should go for the crash-course, obviously I disagreed. It'll be super-awkward, like super duper A W K W A R D. *crikk crikk*

Come I selit-daun abit on my wedding updates:

Besides the wedding course, I've already looked through wedding cakes and henna-artist.

Wedding cakes are like a waste of time.

"Oh my god, coming from you?" -Bubs

Yes, simply said coming from someone who bakes. Been to several weddings and their wedding cakes are mostly for display after cake-cutting. Some just can't be bothered to even distribute. Why spend on such hefty sum and getting tiered cakes which are not cheap? The more extravagant the design is, the more pricey, especially dealing with fondant.

I find that in general, not many people are sweet-tooth, especially makcik and pakciks! We're talking about those dense-cake with super-muak buttercream. Even I hate those standard buttercream, not forgetting fondant. I deal with this super messy-thick sugar for my orders and that is a no-joke to it.

Fondant are fussy-food/thingy. They are so the cerewet that it needs to be in good storage condition. Humidity in Singapore makes fondant sweat like no effing-business(esp those buat bawah block), your cakes would pretty much look so glossy and runny on the outside.

Soon enough, those colours will drain down, making it look so messy not forgetting those patchworks where you stick fondant to fondant to create such intricate design, you'll see them slipping. Using only water as adhesive....like omg, that's it. Your cake artist will not be there if such thing occur, not their tai-chi anymore. So bottomline is.. go simple. Well of course, it's everybody's to their own perception right? Not everyone thinks like me nor I think like anybody else. HEHE

These are my two-top choices from Spatula Bakery for wedding cakes. Always been wanting to have those naked cake (like the top picture) which blends well to my theme. Me and my crazy non-practical self needs to separate from each other. Yes, ever convinced myself that I can pull off my two-tier naked cake on my own wedding day(just to save cost lah!) but Bubs told me not to. He wasn't convinced that I could pull it off on my own within a short period of time. So then I decided to look for other cake-vendors. Currently waiting for Fluff Bakery with their quotes. If it's not within my budget, I'd go for Spatula Bakery. If they're fully booked... then #eshyabakes that is. hehe

Wahh. What a lengthy post. Will blogged more once I've got my quotations from henna-artist and my cake. Till then, gotta snooze before waking up to a 3-days flight pattern. Bye!

xoxo
