S U N D A Y- Trick or Treats?

Goodmorning! Spending my standby day lazing around in bed. How I wish they wouldn't call me up but judging my house from the airport, they can just activate me like 30 minutes before the flight takes off. Nak kena pindah go Jurong already laaah.

Two flights left before I'm declaring myself on leave after a good 5 months! You have  no idea how it's like to just cooped yourself in Singapore. H and I kaki-merayap overseas! As mentioned previous post, the only time we go on a date is when we're overseas so, bottomline is.. we seriously can't wait to go on a date.

This is just any other random post cos' tengah bosan gila. H's at home on his off day while I'm stucked at home waiting to get called upzzz.

So recently I've had two cake orders from my colleague. Singapore's been so hot and very humid lately(still remember getting out from the showers and within less than 5minutes, I was totally dry and hair was like slightly dam.) that it really spoilt my business in a way. My fondant keeps sweating and breaking apart in room temperature. God knows how stressed I was the whole day, to the extent of having gastric pain cos' I totally forget to eat till midnight, not-on-purpose.

So about the cake, had to whip up something great to replace fondant but was very much delighted that the figurines were completed beforehand!

Alhamdulilah, everything went well in the end. As much as I love taking photos of my bakes, these were just at initial stage cos' nearing to the end, I was rushing for time trying as much as I could to beautify those cakes and of cos' sadly, didn't managed to take the final product. BOOHOO!

6-layer 9" standard rainbow cake with Philly's creamcheese frosting  taken at first crumbcoating session.

9" Horlicks malt layer cake with chocolate ganache(cadbury milk+semi-sweet chocolate!) frosting with center-layer salted caramel with chopped maltesers chocolate surprise. The cake base alone is sooooo sedap, I swear! *Mind the bad photography skills here, already busy at this stage.

Pretty much what my cake assignments were all about. Rainbow cake with frozen theme and Gundam for chocolate cake!
The end product were so much better but haizzz, time constraint!

Yes, that's it. Only three photos. Will update more soon. Since I'm kinda free right now, shall think of my signature dessert for my mini-business.

Molten chocolate lava? Creme Brulee? Assorted tarts?Cheesecake minis? Crepes? Brownies? INDECISIVE.

toodles!
